48hrs in Oxford, MS

For being a small town, Oxford, MS has a lot to offer. With excellent restaurants, incredible history, and beautiful landmarks, it is hard to fit everything into one weekend trip! Don’t worry though, the Cicada Girls have made a list of our  favorite stops & shops so that you can do the #MOST in your 48hrs in Oxford 😊

For your stay, we LOVE & recommend the Graduate Oxford, located right on the Downtown Oxford Square! The Graduate is wonderfully decorated, has a vintage touch, and features an excellent roof-top restaurant & bar!

After settling into your hotel room, #treatyoself & come shopping w/ us @ Cicada For Her! A little retail therapy is a perfect way to unwind from the hassle of traveling & we will hook you up with your new FAVORITE pieces ❤️

After that step into Square Books! They have author events throughout the year and have a very impressive collection of books w/ coffee available in their upstairs. Head over to Square Books Jr. with your little ones after for even more books + games!

Pamper yourself at Zoe of Oxford with new cosmetics and beauty products! They have everything you could want & more!

& Don’t forget to reboot @ Yaya’s Frozen Yogurt !! (big crowd pleaser for all ages!) It’s yogurt so it’s healthy…right??

Walk into the South’s oldest store, Neilson’s! This traditional department store has your household & family goods waiting for you!

For dinner, Saint Leo’s Restaurant is a MUST. They have an unbelievable menu and atmosphere! Can’t get enough of this place!

Big Bad Breakfast is the B-B-Bomb! BBB isn’t like any ordinary breakfast place, it is THE breakfast place & is well worth the wait! (Buy their bacon & sausage to make @ home, too!)

Take an official tour around Oxford on one of the famous, red Double Decker Buses,! (Kids love this & it is an Oxford classic)

Drive through campus to see the one and only: Grove. The Grove is home to the world’s best game day tailgates & is a great place to relax during the week! (Go Landsharks & Hotty Toddy!)

Rowan Oak holds incredible history as it was the home of William Faulkner for over 40 years located near the Oxford Square! B-e-a-utiful.

Stop by Jinsei Sushi for the tastiest of mojitos (I mean, did you look at that picture?), sushi made with fish that is flown in daily, and tempura green beans (a favorite!).

snackbar_middle.jpgBe sure to make reservations at Snackbar for the best oyster bar & cocktails, too! (We are craving this right rn).

For more information about Oxford, big events to come in town for, and more ideas that the whole family will love, head into Visit Oxford on the Square!

Oh! And make SURE that you get a t-shirt from JCG Apparel to prove that you visited the world’s cutest and most friendly town! (After all, if you didn’t get a t-shirt, did it even happen?)
